 Why a board blog?

We are always excited to have the opportunity to engage and talk with our members!

Over the last year, we had the opportunity to talk with many of you, most recently, at Summit 2018 and several common things came to light.

One was that you want us to engage with you more and to keep you updated on what we're working on.

We felt that in addition to us visiting and interacting in small groups, a blog would be the perfect way for us to engage with and keep you updated!

We welcome any feedback and questions you may have.

OHANA & IAAP | WELCOME 2018-2019 CHAIR, NORA ONISHI, CAP, OM, PM

Ohana means family, both by blood and by choice, and Board Chair Nora Onishi exemplifies this concept.  I had the pleasure of sitting down with Nora and her executive, Aaron Alter, to discuss what it means to be an administrative professional, the value of the profession, the unique challenges of working in Hawaii, and a host of other topics.   To read the rest of  John Naatz's article from the September issue of Office Pro, click here.

Watch Nora's incoming Chair speech from Summit 2018 and learn more about the five values of O'Hano: inclusiveness, diversity, unconditional love/understanding, speaking the language of "we", and acceptance/forgiveness.
