Welcome to 2019-20! 

If you were at Summit and were in the room Sunday morning, you heard my IAAP journey.  Although we may have come to IAAP from many different paths, for many different reasons, I know one thing we can agree on - joining this amazing association has been pivotal in our career development. Education, networking, leadership opportunities, friendship are things I’ve received in more ways than I can count as a result of my membership – what has your membership afforded you?   

It has been an incredible journey, but one that can be attained by anyone who puts the work in and steps out of their comfort zone!  

Are you ready to step up, offer your opinion and step out of your comfort zone?   I invite you to do just that and offer the following ways you can do so.  I look forward to serving with you this year!

Be heard, offer your opinion:

Your board and staff know that providing increasing value to the administrative profession and its professionals is critical for us, for IAAP and our profession.  To ensure that we understand how to engage you better and be attractive to diverse cultures and talents and what you need, we need to know how to engage you.  How do we do that?  With a survey, of course.  We have launched a very important engagement survey. The data collected will help us to diversify our approach, customize resources, and ultimately provide you more value to you our members, to potential/non-members and to the profession!    The survey will only take about 10-15 minutes to complete.  On behalf of the board and staff, we look forward to hearing from you.  Click here to take the survey.

Looking for ways to serve your IAAP community and earn CAP re-certification points? Applications are now open for the Conference Education Committee! Come help plan the education that will be offered at the Summit 2021 conference. Applications are open until late September with work occurring late September to the end of October. Contact Nikki Unmack with questions. Worth 2 CAP re-certification points.

If you're interested in serving as an Ambassador for the IAAP Foundation, sign up today! The official sign up period for the 2019-2020 term is open now through Sept. 30. The Foundation is looking for volunteers who are energized about their direction and overall purpose, are involved in local regions and branches, and want to help in their efforts to support admins and advance the profession.
